Events & Sessions Code of Conduct

All members, guests, speakers, partners, and participants attending or participating in GBR events, meetings, workshops, conferences, networking sessions, training programmes, and virtual platforms are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, respect, professionalism, and Christlike character.

1. Respectful Conduct

All participants must treat one another with dignity, courtesy, and respect. GBR encourages an environment where individuals can engage in meaningful discussions, share ideas, ask questions, and express different perspectives without fear of intimidation, harassment, or disrespect.

Participants must refrain from behaviour that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, offensive, disruptive, or otherwise inconsistent with GBR’s values.

2. Participation and Engagement

Participants are expected to engage constructively and responsibly during GBR activities. This includes listening when others are speaking, allowing speakers and facilitators to complete their contributions, and avoiding unnecessary interruptions or behaviour that prevents others from participating.

Participants should contribute to discussions in a manner that promotes learning, fellowship, collaboration, and constructive engagement.

3. Events and Virtual Platforms

The same standards of conduct apply to both physical and virtual GBR activities. Participants using online meeting platforms, discussion groups, social media channels, or other GBR communication platforms must maintain appropriate and respectful conduct.

Participants should not use GBR platforms to post or share material that is abusive, offensive, discriminatory, threatening, misleading, or contrary to GBR’s values.

4. Instructions and Event Procedures

Participants are expected to follow reasonable instructions provided by GBR organisers, facilitators, event coordinators, and authorised representatives. This includes observing event procedures, registration requirements, venue rules, time allocations, and reasonable requests relating to safety and orderly participation.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

Participants must respect the privacy of other members, guests, speakers, and participants. Information shared during GBR sessions that is intended to remain confidential should not be disclosed, distributed, recorded, or shared without appropriate permission.

6. Addressing Misconduct

GBR reserves the right to take appropriate action where a participant’s conduct is disruptive, inappropriate, or inconsistent with GBR’s values and standards. Depending on the nature and seriousness of the matter, action may include a verbal or written warning, removal from an event or session, restriction from GBR platforms, or referral for further review.

Serious or repeated violations may result in membership review, suspension, or removal from GBR events, sessions, platforms, or membership.

7. Commitment to GBR Values

By participating in any GBR event or session, members and guests acknowledge their responsibility to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute positively to the GBR community.

All participants are encouraged to demonstrate integrity, respect, accountability, fellowship, constructive engagement, and Christlike character, helping create an environment where everyone can participate, connect, learn, and contribute meaningfully.
